Carly, Editor & Founder of The Disney Wedding Blog, found her Prince Charming while working at Walt Disney World on the College Program. Both lifelong Disney fans, Carly & Kyle, got married at Walt Disney World on a $20,000 budget. Carly discusses their destination wedding planning experience and highlights her best tips and advice when planning an amazing yet affordable Disney wedding. Carly tells us there is a perception that Disney weddings are plastic and cookie-cutter, Mickey Mouse events, but that couldn't be farther from the truth. The Disney Wedding Blog is the unofficial center for all things Disney weddings. The site is an inspiration and information resource for couples planning a wedding, proposal, honeymoon, or vow renewal at any of the Disney theme parks or resort areas. It is a fan blog for all types of Disney Weddings and is not affiliated with Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings and Honeymoons or The Walt Disney Company in any way. Carly is dedicated to making the journey to a Disney wedding a lot easier. Carly shares her resources including online Disney forums, her photographers and Disney-area vendors, and where she found her beautiful $250 wedding dress. She talks about her extraordinary honeymoon five months before her wedding as a planning and celebration trip and what her guests will remember the most. We will hear about the most unexpected part of their celebration and what she would have done differently. Carly had high expectations and Disney delivered the fairy tale wedding she always dreamed about. How did our featured
newlyweds Kaylynn & Bill meet and fall in love? Want to hear a
really fantastic surprise birthday trip proposal? Why get married in
Las Vegas? How did they start the wedding planning process from
Seattle and discover that they needed help? Kaylynn had a specific
vision for her wedding and toured many hotels and locations they
considered for their wedding. She knew she wanted a coordinator in
charge of the many details of the day and she lucked out finding and
hiring Tracey Kumer-Moore of Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge.
Connecting with your wedding planner is important and priceless. The
groom totally agrees that a planner is an advocate for your interests
with your vendors and they take care of things you probably have not
thought about. They worked with wonderful wedding professionals
selected from many of Traceyâs references. Kaylynn and Bill
realized throughout their 10 month engagement that Tracey helped
lessen the overwhelming stress and we all know how much that matters! Their September wedding took place at the Wynn Las Vegas. They wanted an intimate evening with friends and family to celebrate their union. Were things planned for their guests for the weekend? Kaylynn talks about finding her dream Lazaro wedding gown at a beautiful boutique in Seattle that coincidentally all of the women in her family had gotten their gowns. Kaylynn knew her look was perfect. She describes it as Timeless + Glitzy = Las Vegas Romantic. Hear how they made their twilight ceremony meaningful. Are you thinking of having a half-time wardrobe change? Kaylynn changes into an Alice + Olivia cocktail dress â what fun! Their vision was achieved via the dÃcor. They wanted an elegant setting so they set up a few lounge spaces, used the outdoor patio, and was surrounded by lots of candles and flowers. Uplights and white chiffon fabric and votives were utilized in the LaTache ballroom. They had a band and DJ with a really cool black dance floor. Learn about their photographer and the shots Kaylynn & Bill really wanted to capture the energy & life of the party. Bill was in charge of food and booze. No traditional sit down dinner for them. No seating charts. Helen from the Wynn helped design creative menu elements for their cocktail party even though they didnât eat much of the food. Sound familiar? Kaylynn suggests all couples should do something magical right after the ceremony. Can you guess what she is referring to? Listen and find out. What were their most memorable & favorite moments about the wedding? What was the best money ever spent? Their motto was to have fun and enjoy themselves. Their guests are still raving about their fabulous Vegas wedding at the Wynn. This Newlywedcast is inspiring and full of love. Are you a little older? Do you both work? Would you want to plan your second wedding different than your first? Hyela does and embraces her second walk down the aisle with much happiness. Jack, never married before, has two proposals to make. Hear how Jack includes Sabrina, Hyela's 8 year old daughter. Later in the show you find out that Jack selected the simple, yet sexy Elizabeth Fillmore wedding dress at Saks Fifth Avenue. It's a red carpet winner for Hyela's big day. Hyela and Jack have a year to plan their New York City wedding. They know they want an intimate and elegant location. Having no time to really work on a wedding, they hired an event coordinator, Kristin Manolis of Manolis & Company Productions. We asked this busy, engaged couple how they found Kristin and how they worked together. Date: Thanksgiving weekend. Place: The Essex House. What next? This special couple wanted a party -not a traditional "first" wedding. Music and entertainment was such important components that they had a separate coordinator. Ever think of including your guests into the lyrics of a song? Would you want someone famous to officiate? At first Jack was not enthusiastic, but was ultimately touched by former Mayor David Dinkins' heartfelt words. The ceremony was touching & meaningful for Hyela, Jack and their guests. Hyela worked very closely with Kristin when designing floral centerpieces and the creative stationery system. Individual menus had beautiful calligraphy and were presented in the round. Some really unique and innovative designs were incorporated to reflect this couple's taste and personality. Best advice: definitely hire an event coordinator. After interviewing three or four possible candidates Hyela and Jack were very pleased with Kristin's ability to orchestrate and produce a fabulous wedding. They said, "Kristin does all the work. We expressed our desires and chose exactly what we wanted . Guaranteed you'll have less mistakes, headaches and hassles." Do you want to leave an amazing impression on your guests?
