Meet the Masters with Monica Hickey

Many a bride has a fantasy of looking like a princess on her wedding day.   Wedding Podcast Network had the distinct pleasure of interviewing the legendary Monica Hickey who has presided over the most prestigious bridal salons and boutiques here and abroad.  Brides have trusted Monica and her advice.  Now it's your turn to have an inside visit with our featured Master - Monica Hickey, fashion leader of bridal dressing.

Monica Hickey started her bridal career in 1967 at Henri Bendel in NYC. Under the seven year management of Miss Hickey, the Henri Bendel Bridal Salon became the number one destination for the most discerning and famous brides.  She discovered her true passion for fashion design and the pleasure of working with brides seeking a dress they really love. Miss Hickey then went to Bergdorf Goodman where she had her own department named "The Bridal World of Monica Hickey."

Monica has traveled the world and has inspired the design of the wedding dress. Saks Fifth Avenue and Kleinfeld have also been home to Monica's creativity and expert fashion direction.  In fact, the famous Vera Wang came to Monica while she was at Saks and picked her wedding gown.  Monica also gives us an inside look into Princess Diana's choice of wedding gown.  Was it the right dress for a Princess?

Despite the passing of time, styles and fashions, Monica tells us that all brides search for the perfect dress. From the 60's to now times have changed. Society and fashion is reflected in the bride's choices.  Monica Hickey is the quintessence of trust and honesty.  The integrity of the advice must be true.  She has committed herself to the happiness and beauty of brides and gives her point of view with class and style. What's the best advice Monica has to offer? Tune in and find out.
