Newlywedcast with Carly Morgan... A Disney Wedding

Carly, Editor & Founder of The Disney Wedding Blog, found her Prince Charming while working at Walt Disney World on the College Program.  Both lifelong Disney fans, Carly & Kyle, got married at Walt Disney World on a $20,000 budget.  Carly discusses their destination wedding planning experience and highlights her best tips and advice when planning an amazing yet affordable Disney wedding.

Carly tells us there is a perception that Disney weddings are plastic and cookie-cutter, Mickey Mouse events, but that couldn't be farther from the truth.  The Disney Wedding Blog is the unofficial center for all things Disney weddings. The site is an inspiration and information resource for couples planning a wedding, proposal, honeymoon, or vow renewal at any of the Disney theme parks or resort areas.  It is a fan blog for all types of Disney Weddings and is not affiliated with Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings and Honeymoons or The Walt Disney Company in any way.  Carly is dedicated to making the journey to a Disney wedding a lot easier.

Carly shares her resources including online Disney forums, her photographers and Disney-area vendors, and where she found her beautiful $250 wedding dress.  She talks about her extraordinary honeymoon five months before her wedding as a planning and celebration trip and what her guests will remember the most. We will hear about the most unexpected part of their celebration and what she would have done differently.  Carly had high expectations and Disney delivered the fairy tale wedding she always dreamed about.

Newlywedcast with Nicole and Damien, Brooklyns Biggest Loser Lovebirds

You may recognize our featured newlyweds as the red team from reality television.  Nicole Brewer and Damien Gurganious, contestants on season 7 “The Biggest Loser: Couples”,  enthusiastically share how they met at a water aerobics class at the Y, the two day proposal story, and their wedding planning and weight loss experience. Together they lost more than 250 pounds combined and could not be happier inside and out.

Nicole, a wardrobe stylist and group fitness instructor and Damien, an industrial designer, are creative, ambitious professionals devoted to each other and focused on an active and exciting life.  They talk about what they learned from being on “The Biggest Loser” ranch and how thrilling it is to finally fit into clothes they always wanted to wear, especially walking down the aisle in a figure-flattering strapless Amsale Christos “Eva” gown and Calvin Klein tuxedo.  Red is Nicole’s favorite color so it was only fitting to dress her bridesmaids in a fashionable apple red gown from David’s Bridal.  They may be watching calories but they splurged on a delicious wedding cake called "Biggest Loser's Praline Bliss".

You will find out what Nicole and Damien would have done differently, what was most memorable, and their best advice for couples getting married.  This New York summer wedding was a collaborative effort that had everything a couple would want for a celebration...especially love.

Planet Bride On Location @ Kleinfeld Bridal - Real Brides Give Gown Advice

Henry Roth lets loose in the celebrated Kleinfeld Bridal lobby, a famous New York City salon carrying the largest selection of exclusive designer gowns anywhere.  Henry talks to brides as they embark on the first wedding dress appointments at the start of 2010.  Brides get very real about their dreams, aspirations and emotions as mothers, aunts, and sisters of the bride also get close and personal with advice of their own.  Henry Roth sheds tears with a bride as she reveals a heart rendering story of who she is with at her appointment and why.

Henry finds out who they believe they should bring with them to help make vital decisions.  At what point you know it's THE dress.  Why gowns that have stopped them in their tracks when seen online or in magazines may not be what they end up with.

Are you a fan of the TLC television series Say Yes to the Dress?  You will meet Bridal Consultant Keasha, Director of Sales Joan, and Director of Merchandise Dorothy. They share their expert advice when searching for the gown of your dreams.  Planet Bride brings you the best down to earth advice on the planning of your wedding.

This original program is exclusively with Michelle Roth and Henry Roth and only available on Wedding Podcast Network.

Meet the Masters with Kate L. Harrison, Founder & CEO The Green Bride Guide

Are you an eco-conscious couple that wants to wed responsibly? Do you want to plan a stylish green event that will help protect our planet?  Green wedding veteran and environmentalist Kate L. Harrison, founder and CEO The Green Bride Guide, shares creative ideas and smart options that will inspire you to conserve for your wedding and life together.

Kate talks about her own green wedding celebration and why it was so important to design it this way.  In this episode you will learn what makes a product or service âgreenâ plus what sustainable, carbon footprint, organic, fair trade, and greenwashing really mean.  Kate talks about the best green alternatives to consider for your invitation, dress, transportation, reception food, flowers and decor.  She explains why itâs important to communicate your vision clearly to anyone you work with to ensure its success.

A lot of what you read states that a green wedding costs more.  Can couples really save up to 40% in wedding expenses?  Does a green wedding have to be an all or nothing proposition?  How will a couple know that they are working with a bonafide green vendor committed to practices to protect the environment?  How can you let your guests know about the green choices you made?  Whatâs a wedding coop?  How important is having a cleanup plan once the party is over?  Kate answers these questions and more to help you pull off a personal and meaningful green wedding that will make a difference on your special day and always.
