Robert loves old microphones and happened upon a store in NYC called WAVES.  Proprietors Bruce and Charlotte Mager buy and sell antique radios and phonographs.  We discover a great use for the old record player.  Don't miss this totally unique idea.

Together Robert and Holli have committed to a nine day program of Vow To Be Fit, a revolutionary cleansing system.  They are only on Day 4 and feel terrific.  This is a healthy  and safe way for brides, moms, maids, grooms and guests to lose unwanted pounds and inches.  Check it out!

WeddingMusicCentral.com has a line of wedding music written, produced and recorded by Grammy and Emmy winners especially for weddings.  Music personalizes your wedding day.  Looking for a special song to dance with your father?  "My Little Girl" may be the song for you.

Special Report - Wedding Podcast Network covers the first ever NYC Brides Against Breast Cancer (BABC) gown sale like no other.  Hundreds of brides attended hoping to find the gown of their dreams while making wishes come true for terminal breast cancer patients and their families.  It took place in The Prince George Ballroom, a beautiful setting for any special occasion.  Lindsay Mann and Julie Sabatino coordinated a team dedicated to making this event a great success.  And great it was!  BABC raised $85,000 that will enable the foundation to fill 15 wishes.  Fran Hansen, founder of the Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation, starts off our live coverage when she greets the brides minutes before they came in to experience the sale.  Hear touching stories from brides who donated their gowns along with brides in the dressing room excited to find a beautiful dress for their special day.  Bee, founder of weddingbee.com, volunteered and took time to chat with us.  This event would not be possible without the hundreds of donations by gown designers, bridal shops and former brides.

Newlywedcast with Karen aka Mrs. Grasshopper a September Bride

WPN found our featured bride via her blog entries posted on weddingbee.com, one of our favorite places to read about weddings.  We enjoyed Mrs. Grasshopper's story and had the privilege to hear all about her 11 month plans from engagement to honeymoon in Kauai

Karen tells us how she met her husband Alex and how he proposed in Paris - ooh la la!  What did they plan first?  What was their top priority?  Was the groom involved?  Bring Sasha beloved dog to the wedding?  What color for your bridal party?  Write your own vows?  Flowers?  Music?  Cupcakes?  Answers to these questions and lots more.

What would you do if no one showed up at your last fitting appointment AND you learned the gown store was closing?  Karen remains unruffled and shares the drama of the dress.  This is one story you don't want to miss.

Karen used the Internet for many of the resources cited in the podcast.  She found the web invaluable.  The Knot message boards proved to be an unbelievable community. Check out the links below.

We asked Karen if she would've done anything differently.  Everything was better than expected.  Her Wedding Day Quarterback was a tremendous facilitator bringing all the elements together.  We can all learn a lot from this cool, calm and collected New York bride.

Seneca Moss, contributing style editor Los Angeles Weddings magazine and former fashion editor of Cosmopolitan and InStyle magazines, tells us how this celebrity based area has brides that are glamorous, feminine and natural.  This bride takes risks.  She wants star treatment and she can get it.  The best stylists are available. She discusses trends in gowns.  Are you considering switching out of your wedding gown into a shorter, more fun dress?  What's the bridal party wearing?  The LA bride wants to look different.  It's all about the WOW factor.

Join us as we head to Hollywood.  Destination: Warner Brothers Studios.  Hillary Harris, Director of Special Events, takes us on a personal tour like no other.  You love the movies, the musicals, the history.  You have the vision that takes you to a venue that will guarantee a memorable experience.  Join us on the backlots as we explore different locations and themes.  Weddings and social events are created by a professional team that handle the logistics, art direction and technical support.  The set lighting and phenomenal cuisine are the same used for premieres, television shows and features.  This interview is full of great ceremony and reception ideas.  At Warner Brothers the Hollywood bride is anyone in the United States, in the world, and that means YOU.  You're the star at this customized destination wedding.

Who will buy my beautiful flowers?  Musicals on the mind.  Remember this song from Oliver?  Mark Held, owner of Mark's Garden in Sherman Oaks,  was recently named LA's best by Los Angeles Magazine.  Mark is the celebrated floral designer of the Academy Awards Governors Ball (for the past 13 years), Golden Globes and celebrity weddings including:  Avril Lavigne, Pink, Gwen Stefani, Jennifer Lopez and Jessica Simpson.  The lovely weather and California sunshine allows for some beautiful outdoor weddings.  Find out how Mark got started in the business, trends specific to California, hot colors, original looks, bouquet choices and some great advice.

Color?  Texture?  Fabric?  Ellen discussed Save the Date cards that can be playful and more casual incorporating photos and stories.  Lehr and Black one-of-a-kind creations are ornate, creative and highly personal.

Newlywedcast with Heather and Vee who planned a July wedding

This Newlywedcast is with Heather and Vee who were married in July.  They talk about how they met on the internet dating site eHarmony.com.  We discuss what that experience was like for them.  Both Heather and Vee are school teachers.  Planning a wedding around school vacation was challenging so they did some pre-planning.  Hear about how Vee proposed to Heather and how they involved their families.

Some interesting planning strategies are revealed as we talk about searching for a location for the wedding reception.  Is it a good thing to have your groom very involved in the planning process?  Heather talks about how she felt about Vee's contribution to the wedding planning.

Personalizing the wedding ceremony was very important to both the bride and groom.  We learn how they went about making the ceremony meaningful for themselves, their family and friends.  A family member even performed the ceremony.  They also share how they accommodated their students that were invited to witness their teachers getting married.

We explore the process that they went through in choosing their wedding vendors.  From the brass quintet and hand bell choir for the ceremony to the big band that they chose for their reception.  Vee even sat in with the band to play sax on a few songs.

We discuss menu selections and special dietary requirements for the wedding reception.  Finally Heather and Vee talk about their fabulous three week honeymoon in Austria.

Join us for this wonderful Newlywedcast.

Bridal Scene Show #18 with hosts Holli Ehrlich and Robert Allen. Special Edition: Bridal Market Spring 2007 NYC Part 2

The votes are in, and it's unanimous.  The designers want you in a  wedding dress that reflects you and your sense of style.  You should be thrilled because show after show, collection after collection, runway after runway, were filled with one beautiful dress after another. Beading, lace, empire and belted, feminine, sexy and chic.  Wedding Podcast Network unveils coverage of Bridal Market in New York City heard nowhere else.  You are invited to a front row seat to hear the personal inspiration of the looks and styles for Spring 2007.

We hope you enjoyed Bridal Scene #17, Bridal Market Spring 2007 NYC Coverage Part 1.  Part 2 is a special 90 minute celebration of the hottest, most noted gown designers.  Join us as we go backstage and speak with more than a dozen key players in the wedding industry.  WPN had a chance to chat with highly accomplished wedding experts: Kathy Nenneker, Editor Los Angeles Weddings magazine, Sylvia Weinstock, wedding cake diva, Carley Roney, founder of The Knot and Antonia van der Meer, Editor in Chief of Modern Bride magazine.  Jessica Liebeskind, beauty correspondent, talks with WPN about the hair and makeup seen on the runway.

The storytelling begins with Justina McCaffrey's "Majestic" collection. Her dresses, created out of the finest silks, exude a gracefulness and classic elegance.  All of her designs carry a strong tie with Justina's love of ballet.

Reem Acra's collection is about modernity and feminity inspired by Josephine Bonaparte.  Acra is known for her attention to detail, signature beaded embroideries and unique fabric combinations.

Monique Lhuillier Bride is high fashion.  Sighted:  Hand tufting, re-embroidered lace, three quarter and long sleeves, full A-line skirts and pleated boleros. Colors:  Ivory, Pewter, Mushroom and Latte.

Carmela Sutera introduced an elegant collection featuring the finest European fabrics.  The linen gowns with Venice lace were particularly fresh.  Colored satin sashes, pleated waistbands, long sleeves, colored ribbon accents were a few of the details noticed on the runway.

Anne Barge's love and appreciation of classic, timeless elegance is reflected in her latest bridal collection.  Ice blue silk satin, cotton pique,  Paris brooches, hand beading, fine feathers, black silk flowers, black velvet band and crystal cut sequins accented with Swarovski crystals were just some of the beautiful adornments seen.

Mark Badgley & James Mischka, celebrity designers, are masters of bead, lace and red carpet glamour.  The Badgley Mischka signature style is simple, streamlined and thoroughly elegant, luxurious detail.  Sexy, Retro Silhouettes.  Shoes and handbags also designed by Badgley Mischka.

Feminine glamour and modern styles by Amsale, Christos and Kenneth Pool follow.  Scoop: Project Runway's Austin Scarlett caught the eye of judge Amsale Aberra and was offered the head design  position at Kenneth Poole, an Amsale division known for opulent, luxurious bridal and evening wear.

The PLATINUM for Priscilla of Boston Collection is for brides who prefer a more luxurious, dramatic gown.  Designs are created from elegant silk fabrics with hand-embroidered beading, crystal and threadwork.

Venezuelan-born Angel Sanchez creates bridal gowns that are architectural and contemporary while still being feminine.  Sanchez represents the perspective of the international Latin-American style.  His mother was his first inspiration because of her taste and determination.

Pnina Tornai, leading designer in Israel, houses her collection exclusively at Kleinfeld Bridal in NYC.  Her signature corset design is created to have the perfect fit.  Her collection varies from classic with clean lines and details to sophisticated hand embroidered ballgowns.  The finale wowed us:  Noir - black wedding gown.

Vera Wang celebrates the individuality and spirit of modern young women.  Waists are loose and free, or wrapped in sashes of tulle or linen, sequin, snakeskin and stones.  Element of style:  extravagant bows, ties and watteaus create a sense of volume, movement and ornamentation.  Her collection of dresses express freedom, elegance, and ease.

We hope you enjoyed walking down the runway with us.

Hosts, Robert & Holli, discuss solving family problems while planning a wedding and still have the wedding that you want.  Through it all, don't forget why you and your spouse are marrying.  Your love for each other and desire to make a life long commitment is the most important factor in the wedding plan.

We play a new piece of podsafe music called Tonight by Manons Dream.  Great first dance as husband and wife.

Our featured guest on the show is Lori Harris, Certified Astrologer.  Lori takes us through the Zodiac and discusses traits of each sign, especially with regard to love and relationships.  She shares with us how some cultures really depend upon the reading of astrological charts prior to marriage and in turn there is a much lower divorce rate.  Lori's services include chart analysis, tarot and numerology.   She is available for individual and group readings. Meet the Masters with destination wedding expert Rebecca Grinnals

One of the hottest trends is destination weddings.  We have one of the most knowledgable experts in the business Rebecca Grinnals. Robert Allen had the opportunity recently to interview Rebecca in Orlando, Florida.

Rebecca shares with us how she was influenced as a young girl by the world of weddings.  Rebecca takes us through all of the important aspects of planning the perfect destination wedding and enlightens us with some interesting statistics.  Find out how to get the most out of using the internet to plan the details.  She discusses how the planning process differs for a wedding that takes place away from home.

We answer many of the important questions:

What are my choices for a destination wedding?  How do I maximize my budget?  How many site visits do I need?  Should I use a travel agent?  How much time do I need to plan?  How do I find the right wedding consultant?  Does my destination have to take place at a big resort?  Is renting a villa an option?  Do I need to entertain my guests?  Who is responsible for paying?  Does the honeymoon have to be at the same place as the wedding?

Rebecca Grinnals is widely regarded as one of the foremost experts on the business of Destination Weddings and Honeymoons. She is the Founder and President of wedding and honeymoon industry consulting firm, Engaging Concepts, Inc. based in Celebration, FL and the Chairman of the Caribbean Wedding Association. Rebecca is a sought after industry consultant and trend expert. She has been a featured guest on CBS The Early Show, CNN, Entertainment Tonight, "Weddings of a LIFETIME," CNBC and on Meet the Masters on The Wedding Podcast Network.

Prior to creating Engaging Concepts and the Caribbean Wedding Association, Rebecca co-founded Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons for The Walt Disney Company, and spent ten years developing the concept into an unprecedented success.

Recently Rebecca worked with renowned wedding planner, Marcy Blum on Billy Joel's wedding at his Long Island estate and also with wedding design guru Preston Bailey on Donald Trump's wedding at Mar-a-lago.

Newlywedcast with Kim and Quint who had a destination wedding in Lake Tahoe Our newlyweds, Kim and Quint, share with us all of the details of their April destination wedding in Lake Tahoe, California.  Being avid skiiers they had their wedding at the Sugar Bowl Ski Resort.

They tell the very sweet story of how they met through their parents.  This poses some interesting difficulty during the wedding planning process.  Kim lets us in on the most important lesson she learned during her planning.

Listen in as Quint tells us about how he used a well known board game to propose to Kim, and the very special way he incorporated Kim's Canadian heritage into the engagement ring.

We also get a laugh when we talk about the risky activitiy that the bride and groom shared the morning of the wedding and how it changed Kim's complexion.

Meet the Masters with Preston Bailey

Since I started shooting weddings in the late 80's I have always been fascinated by how floral designers were able to create such beautiful flower arrangements. Then I had the pleasure of working with Preston Bailey who brought my appreciation to a whole new level. To say that Preston Bailey is a floral designer is like saying Pavarotti is a just a singer. Preston Bailey's work in my opinion is magical. I have been lucky enough to work with Preston Bailey on many weddings over the years and I am always amazed at his talent. No one I know can create floral master pieces the way he can. His work truly takes your breath away. When Donald Trump, Oprah Winfrey, Joan Rivers, Donna Karan, Liza Minnelli, Laurence Fishburne, Bill Cosby, Matt Lauer, Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones wanted to celebrate the magical moments in their lives, Preston was their first call. I had the chance to interview Preston Bailey in his studio loft in New York City for this podcast. Preston shared with me his philosophy about wedding planning and design. He gives great advice on flower choices, color and texture. Preston describes his choices for particular flowers for many styles of wedding.
