One beautiful bride.  Thousands of stylish gowns.  What should you know when planning your walk on the white carpet?  Holli Ehrlich, co-founder Wedding Podcast Network, talks with Julie Raimondi, Editor in Chief, and Anne Chertoff, Sr. Editor, of Brides.com.  They talk about bridal fashion, the designers, the wonderful variety of gowns, the looks and accessory statements featured on this season’s runway.  Our wedding experts Julie and Anne offer savvy tips, advice and recommendations you need to know when shopping for the dress of your dreams to express your fashion point of view.

There is a gown for every bride:  pretty, sleek, chic, classic, elegant, sophisticated, sexy, romantic, fun, modern.  There are unique choices for the bride that really wants to get noticed.  Season after season the gown designers introduce a collection that’s fresh and new.  Spring 2010 offers a distinct feeling of exuberance.  A bride starts her adventure with the search for THE dress.  The influential editors of Brides.com talk about their appreciation of a couture designed wedding gown.  How important is the salesperson at the bridal salon?  Should you bring an entourage?  What is the real scoop about sample sales? Julie and Anne have the answers to these situations and more.

We discuss hues & hemlines, fabrics and silhouettes, destination wedding choices, ready-to-wear influence, and dramatic ways to personalize the perfect look from front to back, head to toe, the shoulder, chest and waist.  Tired with strapless?  Is the ballgown for you and your wedding?  What do our editors love about gloves?  What not to put in the pockets?  There are many unexpected details and fashionable options that will enhance your feminine form.  Learn “the rules” when outfitting the bridesmaids, the mothers, and the groom.  What does wear again really mean?  Should you give your bridal party freedom or guidelines?  Throughout this episode you’ll hear important etiquette tips that encourage you to experience this day like no other.

What are the latest trends in the wedding industry?  Want to learn more about destination weddings and honeymoons?  Have you heard about the newest bridal retailer in NYC?  Confused about color?  Swallowed the engagement ring?  Holli & Robert talk about these burning questions plus feature two savvy experts that share important information about romantic travel and bridal fashion.

Robert talks to Lynne LaFond DeLuca, Director of Industry Education and Certification of Beverly Clark’s Elite Wedding Collection.  She discusses travel trends, statistics, and ways to draw inspiration from a location’s cuisine and culture.  Beverly Clark’s magazine planning guide answers couples’ common concerns about faraway destination “I dos.”  Their “Eco Essentials” section features eight effective ways to reduce your - and your guests’ -  travel footprint.  Great tips for anyone planning a getaway.

Holli interviews Dan Rentillo, VP of Design for David’s Bridal, who talks about the extensive selection of offerings available in the store.  He shares ways to infuse a bride’s personality and fashion sense when choosing their bridal attire.  What are some of the bestselling gowns?  How important is color?  What are some recommendations for a destination wedding?  What is the key to selecting the perfect gown?  David’s Bridal is proud to offer beautiful gowns at exceptional value without compromising quality or style.

What should you do differently?  We compiled a few of our listeners’ popular answers so you can be mindful when planning your big day.  Our listeners inspire us.  Keep us posted on what you like and what you don’t and we’ll share it with the world.

Just south of the border, a state of adventure and romance awaits.  A trip to Mexico’s sunny, white sand beaches and natural beauty will be an experience you’ll never forget.  When planning your wedding and honeymoon in Mexico consider the beautiful resorts talked about in today’s episode.

There’s nothing more tantalizing than a private Jacuzzi with an ocean view, a massage with oils and flowers, or dinner and wine on a terrace under a moonlit night. You can enjoy these services in the intimacy and comfort of your hotel room, or in restaurants with bohemian or relaxed atmospheres.

Every Mexican destination offers a wide array of possibilities to make the most significant celebration of your life a pleasant experience.  You can opt for an intimate ceremony by the sea, a mystical ritual performed by a shaman, or an elegant fiesta with hundreds of guests in a garden.  Places like Cabo San Lucas, Los Cabos, Cancun and Puerto Vallarta offer everything you need to have a personalized wedding of any size.  With professional wedding planners available to arrange all nuptial details, couples may dare to dream up an elaborate yet completely stress-free event.

Mothers and daughters share a tight bond that can lead to both great tension and great friendship.  It's an intense relationship and one that we care about very much.  Giving and receiving criticism is a touchy subject and often occurs when planning a wedding.  Mothers feel obligated to make suggestions to show how much they care.  This level of scrutiny can be very frustrating.

Is your mom trying to claim your wedding as HER DAY?  Which kinds of things do moms do when they're trying to be the bride?  Are you reading too much into your mom’s suggestions?  When in the process does this type of thing start to happen?  What is it that a mom really wants or is trying to accomplish?  How should a mother-daughter communicate their feelings and desires?

Holli Ehrlich and Sharon Naylor give helpful advice for daughters and for mothers/mother-in-laws.  They tackle issues about the guest list, attire, being the center of attention, money and so much more.  They share some of their personal experiences to reduce conflict, assumptions, and miscommunication and help you handle yours with TLC.

Fill a Zombie glass with plenty of crushed ice
Add 1 ounce Peach Schnapps
Fill remainder glass with lemonade (pink or regular depending on the color you want)
You can change the color to blue by using a small amount of Blue Curacao or to red by using Grenadine.
Use fresh mint to garnish or add a flower (not a poisonous one!)
Enjoy!!!
